Announcement:
The Parkersburg Police Department will be offering a Police Civil Service Exam for Entry Level Patrolman on Thursday, March 7, 2024.

We will again be offering tutoring classes to anyone interested in preparing for the written test. Tutoring will be offered 5:30 to 7:00 pm every Tuesday beginning February 13 on the second floor of the Parkersburg Municipal Building.

A completed application must be turned in by March 6th at 4pm to be signed up for the written test.

Wood County 9-1-1

Wood County E911The Wood County 9-1-1 Center is accepting applications for a full-time emergency dispatchers. Shift work is required. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior dispatch and/or multi-line phone experience is a plus. Basic computer skills as well as typing ability of at least 30 wpm are required. Must be able to pass physical, drug screen, and background check. Qualification is based on our testing and interview processes. Starting pay is $30,485.31 annually plus paid holidays and benefits package.
